whoa what a night
I will start with the moral of the story, then 'Tarantino' it and go back to the beginning."Bouncers at Quincy's are angry people who yell at little girls"
So i went to a friends highschool grad last night. It was fun, when it wasn't boring, but grads have a tendancy to do that. For supper we had chicken and other green things with fancy names. By the way, if you are ever in the grocery store and see arugula and think about buying it, punch yourself in the face, its gross, very very bitter. Yuck! So anyway, after dinner there was a little bit of a dance, which was really akward because first of all im dancing with grads at a school i didn't ever go to, and second all the parents are there watching. Weird people were walking around with video cameras taping the dancing....creepy...i didn't sign any FOIP form that said you could tape me dancing with this girl. So after the dance it was the after grad. I said that i didn't want to go. See its the principle. I am not a grad. So therefore i should not go to the after-graduation ceremonies. (when i just typed that i hit the period button harder like i was making a point but then i realized that no one reading this would get my point) The after-grad was held at a, what i thought was, resturant called Quincy's. Apparently it is also a club...? Anyway why would you have your after-grad at a place that closed at like 2 in the morning? I got roped into driving 4 girls there, and hey im not going to complain about that, so let me reword my previous statement. I was given the privellage of escorting 4 beautiful girl to the after-grad location. Now here is something that i DO have a problem with. WHO DESGINED THE STREET LAYOUT OF DOWNTOWN CALGARY? worst layout ever. (again i hit the period button with emphasis) One way streets are dumb, you start thinking to yourself, 'oh i just take a left here and a right here' but wait you can only turn right at the needed left turn! BAH!
So we finally find a place to park, which is a long story in and of itself, and we need to walk about 2 blocks to Quincy's, so because we were having such fantastic luck in our driving escapade, it started to pour rain. We arrived at Quincy's and the girls that already had tickets and went inside. But Anshu and I didn't have tickets, see tickets at the door cost 30.00, but i wanted to leave downtown calgary at just after midnight because i was supposed to be driving the girls home (did ya catch the foreshadow?) but it was already just after 11, and i was not about to pay 30 bucks for an hour of watching drunk highschool kids. Anshu agreed with me so we walked in the pouring rain until we heard heavy rock music. We found this cool little bar called Verns, its on 8th ave, and the music was all live and so loud my ears were ringing after we left. So we told the girl that we would pick them up at 12. We got there at 12:10, they were not there. They would not anwser their phones. So i remember going into the entrance and hearing the hostess ask a girl to stand somewhere else, and she didn't so the bouncer screamed 'YOU! outside, NOW!' i left for the door as well, i didn't want to find out what he would do to me if he would snap on a girl. So the other girls came out later and told us that they were actually going to stay. So Anshu and i walked back, through the pouring rain, to the Jeep, and i drove her home, then drove another hour back to my house. What a night
