"I never let myself get too happy cus something bad usually happens"
Thats a quote by 'good-man' Charlie Brown. I brought this up because of a friend of mine. She says that she lives her life by this philosophy. Its understandalbe though. Let me share a bit about her life. When she was 11 her father died. This lead her mother to start drinking, and this drinking led to abuse. Lucky for her though her mother got help, and it was in a form of a new boyfriend. This boyfriend was great for her, and soon became her husband. So this guy became my friends new step-father. It was around this time that she was diagnosed with lukiemia. She battled it hard for a few years, and then her step father was killed in an accident. Soon after this she was declared cancer free. Last July (2007) she was diagnossed again with lukiemia. She is still fighting it, but there is great hope again because she got news that there is a bone marrow match for her. In January of this year her brother died. Obviously this hit her hard. A couple month's ago her boyfriend of 5 1/2 years left her. What happened was that she accidently got pregnant from him, but she was scared to tell him, so she kept it secret. After she had decieded that she was going to keep the baby, and not put it up for adoption, the baby miscarried. The baby miscarried because of the chemotherapy treatment. He boyfriend found out about this, and was very hurt (which is understandable), so he left her.How do i minister to someone who has every right to hate God? I know she believes in Him, but she hates him? what can i say to her?
